Our guest art tutor for this Painting Class opportunity is Sophia Flowers, based on the Isle of Wight, who wishes to share her joy of colour through the art of painting. Sophia encourages everyone to be creative and loves it when a person who feels they “can’t paint” or feels they “aren’t good enough” leaves class with a completed canvas and a smile on their face. This class is open to all abilities, inclusive of beginners. Step-by-step instruction will allow you to build up your painting of an Isle of Wight seascape inclusive of a cloud-filled sky, lighthouse and turbulent sea. We will make full use of our time and should the group complete this particular scene, we will move onto something else so that we are able to learn more about using acrylics as a painting medium.
